Minutes of the 23 October 2014 Board of Directors Meeting
The Board of Directors of CC/MOA met at Malcolm and Mary Roberts’ house on 23 October.
President Senzig called the meeting to order at 1830.

The meeting was called to order at 1833.
Minutes of the previous Board meeting of 7 August had been sent out prior by E-mail and were approved as presented.
The Treasurer’s Report had also been sent out previously and was approved as presented.
The Toys-for-Tots luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, 4 December with a location TBD.
The JROTC dinner is scheduled for the New Bern Golf and Country Club for 20 December. The menu will consist of Chicken Piccata, Wild Rice, Sauteed Green Beans, Tossed Salad, Dinner Rolls and Dessert, Coffee and Tea, Cash Bar. Social at 1730 with dinner served at 1830. Attire is business casual; cost is $22.00. Reservations requested by 15 November. We’re received positive responses from West Carteret, Pamlico County and Havelock High Schools; letters to be sent to New Bern, West Craven, Jones Senior and Northside High Schools. We have received a
$500 grant from USAA to cover the costs for guest meals.
We will host 1st Quarter State Council meeting in New Bern on 16-17 January 2015. Arrangements have been made with the Doubletree by Hilton for lodging. Friday night dinner and meeting place is still pending.
Bill reported that the Chapter website is operational www.ccmoaa.org
New Business. There will be a reenactment of President George Washington’s visit to New Bern scheduled for24-25 April 2015. We will participate in the parade and try to involve our JROTC units but will not contribute any money.
Mary Roberts will try to re-connect with some of our Auxiliary members.
We will not participate in the Morehead City Veterans Day parade on 8 November due to scheduling conflicts ( 4th Quarter State Council meeting in Raleigh).
We have recruited two new members as a result of our information booth at the New Bern Farmer’s Market on 31 May. Bill Brubaker and Mike Newman.
Bill reported that Auxiliary member Elaine Strunk passed away on 8 October.
